Better late than never

A very refreshing Reggae 🤝  Hip-Hop hybrid. “‘Babylon Exists’ - the opening track - is a straight shot at the evil and brutality that we feel from the government and police. This song is an anthem stating that evil is real - and until we all can unite and figure out how to truly put an end to it, it’s gonna live on forever. Babylon exists more than ever.

An African musical odyssey

Over three years in the making, ZIK ZAK is an African musical odyssey, featuring some of the freshest talents from nine countries on the mother continent. Tying this remarkable range of artists together are German production team ANCIENT ASTRONAUTS, weaving the vocal talents of the African singers into their distinctive “Boom Dub” sound. Drawing on Hip Hop, Dancehall, Roots Reggae, and Soul.

Dubble-tough Dub

Vienna´s finest moments in dub working and collaborating with the new technological dimension of modern Dub: Paolo Baldini from Italy.

FLAPAAaaam!!!

The first snare roll leaves no doubt: this is a dub album, reminiscing the pioneers of the genre like King Tubby, Lee „Scratch“ Perry, and Scientist, and of course, it's a tribute to the revolutionary music of Bob Marley and the Wailers.

Staring the devil right in the face

‘FEAR. NO. EVIL’ greets us with a sweet Champion riddim, reminiscent of the eighties, where the Maryland (US) born artist cast any negative entity aside, through a toe-curling soulful falsetto, encouraging others to stand up against obstacles of any form.

The Upsetter

Lee Perry was a key figure within a group of artists who would create a sound unique to Jamaica called reggae and its sub-genre “dub” reggae. Artists in Jamaica were combining elements of popular 1950s and early 1960s music—from rhythm and blues, rocksteady, ska, jazz horn sections and West African drumming—to offer a new distinct sound.
