Dub from Indonesia. Roadblock Dub Collective is composed of Sam & Iday, a duo based in Lampung, Indonesia. These musicians blend their personal musical preferences with a deep passion for Lampung’s traditional music and the Jamaican music nexus.
The duo chose the Latin word "Magna" (meaning "great") and Lampung’s folk slogan "Ragom" (meaning "togetherness") to encapsulate the spirit behind the 10 tracks on their first release, emphasising kinship.
This release is a gem. One never knows when and where to encounter genius, until it hits one in the face, albeit as gentle and measured as this release does.
