REVIEW | Sly & Robbie meet Dubmatix | "Overdubbed" |  In Reggae, all roads lead to the “Riddim Twins”, Sly & Robbie. Now, Sly & Robbie meet Dubmatix. The Canadian producer and multi-instrumentalist got his hands on original Sly & Robbie tracks and spent months crafting this new album, "Overdubbed".

The opening track ‘Dictionary’ spells out the terms for this album. MASSIVE bass is taking away your breath. “Are You Ready?” is the rhetorical question. Yes, we are!

Dr. Dubenstein’s ‘Conspiracy Theory’ was released on April 23, 2017 in a limited edition of 777 copies on Echo Beach (EB123).

Dr. Dubenstein, former employee of the legendary RAS Records Label from Washington DC gathered up some high-carat collaborators to join him in his submarine.

Great new tracks from Jamaican Reggae artist DVoyce.

The EP features 7 tracks and is titled “The Beginning”. The EP may well be DVoyce’s first production, he’s no beginner for sure.

Musically the tracks on “The Beginning” are within what one has come to expect from contemporary Jamaican Reggae, in terms of production value and artistry.

From Jimmy Cliff album "Breakout" (1992)

They gave us history, but what about the true story?

Hiding our heritage, to keep us into bondage.

They stole our culture, to say we got no future,
Destroyed our tradition, to keep us into subjection.
